Yesterday I went and baked bagels with my friend's wife. You see here at school I have lots of time to avoid studying so that means that I have to take up domestic hobbies which keep me at home close to the books should the desire to study hit me. I love bagels and can't seem to find any good bagels here in Prague. The only bagel place in Prague is run by an American guy and I don't think he has ever worked in a real bagel place like I have because his bagels suck, they're more like breadsticks curled up in the fetal position. Anyway I found a great instructional video on the internet about baking bagels and the above pictues are the results of my bagel endeavour. Everything worked well except the final stage where we had to boil the bagels. I made the bagels too large so that when I went to pick them up and place them in the boiling caramel water they fell apart. The one recognizable bagel above was made by my friend's wife, the german engineer from bavaria...figures. When you try to cook something for the first time make sure there's a bavarian in the house. Aside from the bagel fiasco I am in the middle of my infectious diseases block which is proving to be sanity challenging. Not only is there a lot of material to master but I am pretty sure I suffer from every communicable disease known to man. I have been washing my hands an enormous amount in an attempt to not get the rotavirus diarrhea.

Great job with the bagels but the very top right one looks more like an already digested bagel ...lol.
As long as you put the effort in though right?. Please post more frequently please
